The Guelph 2016 Special Olympics Spring Games took place this May.

Nine hundred athletes from across Ontario were selected to compete – and 12 of our Burlington athletes were privileged to be selected to take part in the South Central team, standing out in their incredible orange uniforms! Representing Burlington were: Adam, Laura C., Aiden, Susan and Katie V. in swimming; Mike and Tim in Five Pin Bowling; Trevor in Ten Pin Bowling and Candace, Rachel, Katie B. and Sierra in Rhythmic Gymnastics.

Thank you to Special Olympics Ontario for making this an amazing experience for all of our athletes and their coaches.

We are so happy for each and every one of them. So much hard work and dedication with extra practices paid off! This amazing group set the bar high as we all watched on and they made us all so proud, earning multiple medals between them and putting forward a great performance every time. We could not have wished for a better team.

GO BURLINGTON!!!
