Soccer is the fastest growing sport world-wide in Special Olympics. Here in Burlington, we have multiple teams of differing abilities, with athletes from age 10 to adult. In fact, one of the things that is so great about soccer is that the game can be played by boys, girls, men and women of any physical build and ability.
Through the power of this simple game, our athletes discover new strengths and abilities, skills and successes – and reap the rewards of taking part in a fantastic, fun team sport.
We attend lots of weekend tournaments throughout the summer across the South Central region – and practice usually kicks off indoors in April for at least a few weeks, until we can get outside when the weather improves.
Indoor practices: April/May (TBA), Burloak Sports Center (7:30 pm – 8:30 pm)
Outdoor practices: May 17, Sherwood Park Burl. (6:00 pm – 7:00 pm)
Last practice: TBA
